Step 3. Click on the "Execute 1 Task(s)" button and create a new partition by clicking "Apply".

2. Delete and Create Partition Using CMD

If your hard drive partition cannot be detected or fail to show up in PC, your very first step is to force it to show up with CMD. Just follow the below steps to do it now:

  • Open Command Prompt > Type: diskpart and hit "Enter".
  • Type: list disk in DISKPART and hit Enter;
  • Type: select disk 0 (0 is the disk number which you want to fix and repair) and hit Enter.
  • Type: clean and hit "Enter".
  • Type: create partitions primary and hit "Enter".
  • When a window pops up to ask "Do you want to format it now?", click "Cancel".
  • Type: exit and hit "Enter".

3 . Delete and Create a New Partition with Disk Management

Now you may directly delete the not responding partition and recreate a brand new partition to store data again:

  • Open Device Manager > Click "Disk Management".
  • Right-click hard disk partition which you've just fixed, and select "Delete Volume".
  • Click "Yes" > Right-click on it again and select New Simple Volume.
  • Click Next > Specify the size of your hard disk and click Next.
  • Rename your hard disk and click "Next".
  • Click Next > Finish.
