Method 1: Move Steam Games to Another PC
Make sure Steam is installed so you have the default set of folders available on the new PC. First, you will need to copy the game from the source PC, and then transfer it to the new PC. You can use a large drive when transferring games.
Step 1: Open Steam and go to the Settings option followed by Downloads.
Step 2: Click on the Steam Library Folders to open the games. Right-click on the game you want to transfer, and select browse local files. It will open the game folder. Go back one step so you can see the game folder. Copy the folder and paste it into the drive so you can transfer it.
Step 3: You next have to navigate to the new Steam library folder. Now create a new folder over there and name it Steamapps. Create a folder in the Steamapps folder with the name Common. If you have already installed steam, these folders should be there.
Step 4: Copy the game folder from the drive and paste it here. Next, we will need to ensure the game gets registered.
Step 5: Now tap on the Install button to reinstall the game. Once done, go to the Choose Location dropdown menu and then select a Steam folder to your new hard drive. Steam will automatically detect the game is there, and it will update if required.
Method 2: Steam Backup and Restore
A better way to move the game to Windows 11 PC is to use the Bult-in backup and restore method. You will need to use an external drive to back up the folder which you can then use to restore.
Step 1: Open Steam, click on the Steam menu, and select Backup and Restore Games. It will then ask if you want to backup the existing game or restore from the previous backup.
Step 2: Select Backup currently installed programs, and it will then list the game you want to backup. Check the box next to it and click next.
Step 3: Select a location, and steam will backup the game into that location. Connect the backup drive to the new Windows PC, and launch Steam on it.
Step 4: Repeat Step 1 and select Restore a previous backup. Select the location of the backup to drive, and it will automatically detect the game. Choose what you wish to restore, and once done
Method 3: Move Origin Games to Another PC
Make sure to install Origin Game software into the new PC.
Step 1: In the old PC, go to the default Origin Games folder and find the game you are willing to move in.
Step 2: Copy the game files you are willing to move into another location. Copy it to an external drive and connect it to the new PC.
Step 3: Go to the default location of the Origin game, and then paste the game from drive to this location.
Step 4: You next have to open the Origin option and follow the path, i.e., Origin > Application Settings > Advanced > Download Games.
