How to Clone Windows OS to SSD for Actual Free

I plan to upgrade my HDD to an SSD soon enough, but I don't want to install Windows and all my software all over again. I once found some tools claiming they can "clone OS for free," but they weren't. Is there any way I can actually clone Windows OS to an SSD for free? Thanks!

EaseUS Partition Master provides a free feature that can clone all the partitions from a disk to a new one. You can even clone the C drive to the SSD and boot from it. For more details, you can check the instructions here:

Step 1. Install the SSD on your PC and power up.

Step 2. Press "Windows" + "R" to open the run box and enter diskmgmt.msc to access Disk Management.

Step 3. Then, initialize the SSD to MBR or GPT.

Step 4. Launch EaseUS Partition Master and go to the "Disk Clone" tab.

Step 5. In "Clone Partition," select the system partitions on the old disk, and then choose the destination drive on your SSD.

Step 6. Then, start the cloning process. You can repeat the operation if you want other partitions to be cloned as well.

Step 7. Restart the computer and enter BIOS to set SSD as the boot drive.

Now, you can enjoy your Windows OS and all applications on the SSD without reinstalling them.
