Can I Delete Recovery Partition Windows Server 2022

The default server 2022 installation slaps the recovery partition at the end of the C drive map, which presents issues for VMs. However, some users on the internet claim that you won't be able to update the operating system if you remove the recovery partition. I haven't tested this yet.

Yes, you can delete the recovery partition in Windows Server 2022 after creating a full backup for the system disk.

Before taking any actions, it's better to create a system image backup with Windows backup and recovery software

To safely remove the recovery partition without deleting other partitions or files, I recommend you try EaseUS Partition Master Professional. Option 1. Delete the Recovery Partition In Windows Server 2022

Step 1: Launch EaseUS Partition Master and select "Partition Manager." To delete the recovery partition, right-click on it and select "Delete."

Step 2: Check "Yes" when prompted with "Do you want to delete the selected partition?."

Step 3: To fully erase the recovery partition, click "Execute Task" and "Apply" in the pop-up box.

Option 2. Extend the C Drive When the Recovery Partition Get In the Way

Step 1: Right-click on the System C: drive and select "Resize/Move."

Step 2: Drag the system partition end into the unallocated space to add it to the C: drive, and click "OK." 

Step 3: Click "Execute Task" and "Apply" to execute the operations and extend the C drive.
