Can I Check If the Partition Scheme Is GPT or MBR in BIOS?

I just upgraded my old Windows system to Windows 11. I wonder if I can check if the partition scheme is GPT or MBR in BIOS. If it's ok, how can I do it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can check the partition scheme in BIOS. You'll be able to use a disk drive on your computer more quickly and efficiently if you know exactly which disk partition table your source disk is utilizing. Below are some of its benefits:

  • Help you decide how many partitions you can create.
  • It avoids problems after the Windows system upgrade or migration.

You can follow the quick steps here to check if your hard drive is using MBR or GPT:

Step 1. To get into BIOS Settings, start up your computer and press "F2 or Del" before it enters the Windows system.

Step 2. Choose the "Boot" tab from the menu, and then you will see the current partition scheme and boot order.

To view more information about your hard drives, you can boot into Windows and check them via a free and professional tool - EaseUS Partition Master. Moreover, this utility allows you to convert disk between MBR and GPT without losing any data or files.
