Both Backup and Restore(Windows 7) and File History are Time Machine alternatives in Windows 11 system. Both of them can be used to back up files, so you can use any of them to back up files on your Windows 11 system.

Backup and Restore (Windows 7) is a tool located in the Control Panel that helps you to create and restore complete backups of your machine, including operating system, settings, personal data, etc. You can find it on Windows 11 with the following path: Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore (Windows 7).

File History is a Windows feature that constantly backs up all files in your Libraries, Desktop, Favorites, and Contacts folders to external hard drives but does not create a complete backup. To access File History on Windows 11, enter the Control panel in the search box, open it and find File History to use.

Both utilities can meet the basic backup needs of your Windows 11 computer. EaseUS Todo Backup Free is an alternative to these tools that provides a more comprehensive backup solution. It covers backing up files, folders, systems, disks, portions, and APP data. You can save the backup to hard drives, NAS, cloud services, and security zone with multiple storage paths. It also owns various advanced points, like incremental and differential backup, to customize your backup according to your needs.
