Palworld Release Date: Mark Your Calendars for the Epic Game!

Polworld, also known as "Pokémon with guns," is an action-adventure survival game created by the Japanese video game developer Pocket Pair. It's the second open-world survival project of this independent company, following Craftopia. If you are a Pokémon fan, Polworld will blow your mind in a crazy way. Polworld Early Access will be released on January 19, 2024, and available on Windows PCs, Steam, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Game Pass. It is reported that the Early Access will last for one year. For Game Preview and Early Access, Palworld will cost $29.99 (the price is the same for PC and Xbox).

You will see many inspirations in Polworld, including Zelda: Breath of the Wild's expansive exploration and Minecraft's base-building, with a hint of Pokémon Legends Arceus. As a third-person open-world survival game, Polworld allows users to create a customizable avatar from a third-person perspective to explore the open-world Palpagos Islands.

To survive, users need to manage their hunger level, craft basic tools, gather resources, and build bases. The most exciting part is that users can battle and capture animal-like creatures known as "Pals," which can assist users in base building, traversal, and combat as long as they can adequately manage their hunger level. The main antagonists of this game are poachers, a crime syndicate, a Pal liberation movement, and a police-like island defense force. Users can control Pals to fight them with weapons to protect the Pals and resources.

Users can choose to play with three friends or create a dedicated server that can accommodate at most 32 players(Steam only). The future updates of this game include PvP mode, guild raids, and cross-server Pal trading. After reaching 1.8 million concurrent players on Steam in its first four days of early access, Palworld sold six million units and became the second most-played game on Steam.

However, many players report that this early-access version came up with many issues, including crashing on startup, being unable to launch, and disk errors.
