There is a folder that I have deleted from Trash, but it keeps reappearing in the Trash. I used software to delete it. I have used Terminal to try to delete it, but weird things happen. The folder keeps showing up in the Trash on multiple Macs that are logged in the same iCloud account. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have logged in to your iCloud account on different devices, you encounter the folder appearing in Trash across multiple Macs. It sounds horrible, but it is actually a common issue, and you can fix it by the following methods:

Delete the file in iCloud Drive:

Type iCloud in the browser.
Log in with your Apple ID and double-click the folder where your file is stored.
Hold the Control key and click the file on the iCloud. Choose the Delete icon.

Force delete the file in Mac Trash:

Open Trash on your Mac device.
Find and locate the file that keeps reappearing on your Mac.
Hold the Control key and click the file you want to delete permanently.
Choose "Delete Immediately" from the drop-down menu.

Exclude the file from the Time Machine Backup:

Click the Apple icon and choose "System Preferences" from the drop-down menu,
Find the Time Machine and go to the "Options" tab.
Click the + button and add your external drive.
