How to Remove SATA SSD Write Protection, Help

Yesterday I noticed that I am not able to write or change any file on the SATA disk. I cannot create new files or delete files. These options don't even show up on context menus. I tried to check the properties of any folder or file on the disk, I noticed they are all read-only. I cannot change the read-only mode, no matter use which method, I always get the error message 'The drive is write-protected. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

According to your information, your SATA SSD suddenly changed into the write protection mode. Therefore you cannot write or modify any file on this SATA disk. Write protection may be caused by some reasons, and I will explain why write protection happens on external devices. However, there are mainly three causes:

  • Unknown viruses or malware. They can sometimes encrypt your device, triggering write protection and preventing you from visiting the saved data.
