Yes, you can. According to PS5 Support, M.2 SSDs can be used to increase the storage capacity of your PS5 console. Users can download and launch PS5 games on the M.2 SSD. However, you need to check M.2 SSD requirements for PS5 at first:

  • Interface: PCI-Express Gen4x4 supported M.2 NVMe SSD (Key M)
  • Storage space: 250 GB - 8 TB
  • Sequential read speed: at least 5,500MB/s
  • Socket type: Socket 3 (Key M)

To seamlessly transfer and run your original PS5 games on the new M.2 SSD, a reliable game transfer software is necessary - EaseUS Todo PCTrans Professional. This versatile tool can easily help you move games from a PS5 SSD to an M.2 SSD with a high capacity.
