My PS5 is equipped with a 1TB WD SN850 nvme SSD, and it's full. I want to add a 2TB M.2 SSD to my PS5 console to get more space. After installation, can I move PS5 games to M.2 SSD?

Yes, you can. According to PS5 Support, M.2 SSDs can be used to increase the storage capacity of your PS5 console. Users can download and launch PS5 games on the M.2 SSD. However, you need to check M.2 SSD requirements for PS5 at first:

  • Interface: PCI-Express Gen4x4 supported M.2 NVMe SSD (Key M)
  • Storage space: 250 GB - 8 TB
  • Sequential read speed: at least 5,500MB/s
  • Socket type: Socket 3 (Key M)
