Yes, if you replace your hard drive, you will lose everything on it, including the operating system and files. This is because your Windows and files are stored on the hard drive. If you replace it, everything will be gone. And you have to reinstall your Windows 10.

But this does not mean that you have nothing to do with it. There is another way to help you replace a hard drive without reinstalling Windows. It is called cloning.
