How to Watch a Dashcam Video on a Computer [Deleted Videos Include]

I want to check the video from my rear dashcam, which is a ThinkWare F200. The videos look pretty dark when looking at them on my phone in the car. Is there a way to view them on my computer so I can zoom in and maybe lighten the videos up?

Dashcam manufacturers provide their own APP, so you can easily view the recorded video on your mobile device. However, viewing the video on a small screen may not be clear enough. So, how to watch a dashcam video on a computer?

First of all, you may notice that a dashcam's recording video storage location, in fact, is an SD card (or some models also support USB removable drive). Therefore, if you want to watch a dashcam video on your computer, for example, view Tesla Dashcam footage on a Mac, you should follow the steps below:

Step 1. Remove the SD card from your ThinkWare (or any other dashcam brands, such as Nextbase, Venture, etc.) dashcam and insert it into your computer.

Step 2. Open "File Explorer" on a Windows PC, find the SD card, and double-click to open it.

Step 3. Find the dashcam video you want to view in the SD card folder and open it with the video player on your computer.

If the dashcam footage is missing, don't worry! Download and install EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard and restore all the deleted, lost, or formatted videos from your dashcam SD card. Here are the steps you can refer to:

Step 1. Run EaseUS video recovery software and select the dashcam SD card. Click "Search for Lost Data" to find the missing footage.

Step 2. Choose "Videos" in the left panel. Select the found footage and click the "Preview" button to view its content.

Step 3. Select the dash cam footage that you want to restore. Click "Recover" to save them to another secure location on your PC, external storage device, or cloud drive.
