How to Recover Missing Files from ExFAT Drive

I have a drive formatted in exFAT. But under Catalina, I cannot read and write files to this drive but any file written to the drive by Catalina cannot be found under Windows 10. I guess that is because my files are missing from my exFat drive. Is there any way to fix this?
