Data Recovery for Go Pro SD Card with an Interrupted Copy

I'm searching for suggestions on which program to use to recover data from my GoPro SD card. Fortunately, I still have most of the footage. However, the card became corrupted before I could copy one of my MTB rides to my computer. For example, the SD card became corrupted when a copy of the files was interrupted, and neither my laptop nor the GoPro will recognize any file system on it.

You still have a chance to recover your Go Pro videos. I'll show you how to recover lost files from an SD card using file backup software or a GoPro Plus online backup.

First, you may try to fix your SD card not working or detected on the PC. You have two options for repairing a not working SD memory card. You can use either method to make the SD memory card for the Go Pro usable again.

  • Run the CMD checkup to repair the SD memory card failed error. You can use CMD to run a disk check to cure all internal issues on a SanDisk memory card to repair it.
  • Update the SD memory card driver and format it into NTFS. You can recover data before or after performing a quick format.

No matter how you lose your photos and choose either method to repair your SD card, as soon as you know you've lost data, cease using the SD card. Don't take any more images on the card and promptly remove them from the Go ProThen, use expert picture recovery software to recover deleted photos from the Go Pro SD cards.

Thus, you can immediately download EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted files from GoPro. The software can:

  • Support video and photo recovery from the GoPro Hero series, including the GoPro Hero 7 black, silver, and white, as well as other models.
  • It allows you to see a preview of recoverable films and photographs.
  • It is compatible with both Windows and Mac systems.
  • Allow you to scan for lost files and data in two modes.

The two modes are Quick Scan and Deep Scan. When a file is eliminated, the system deletes or modifies the name. Everything else is still there; it's just hidden. You can get it back using Quick Scan, but if you don't make it with Quick Scan, Deep Scan is your best bet. It can search for files that have lost their file name and path.
