Thinking about having 2 operating systems on my Mac because I hate OSX. Saw a few videos on how to add an operating system but got confused when he changed the number of gigs for each. I'm just confused about the whole idea.

What does partition hard drive mean? The definition given by Wikipedia is to create one or more regions in a secondary disk area so that each region can be managed separately. These regions are called partitions. If the partition style of your hard drive is MBR, you can create four primary and multiple logical partitions. If it is a GPT drive, you can have up to 128 primary partitions.
