I Want to Reset Windows 10 Password Using Command Prompt Without Disk

If I don't have a rescue disk, how can I change my password? I tried System Reset and Factory Reset, but my laptop is pretty much worthless without the password. I am unable to do anything. I would really like to get back into utilizing this laptop that I just acquired two weeks ago. Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated.

Way 1. Reset Windows 10 via CMD - Hard

If you are an experienced developer or have confidence in running commands to reset your Windows password, refer to the simplified steps here to reset your Windows 10 Password without Disk:

Step 1. Reboot your computer and long-press the F2/F8/DEL key to enter WinRE. Choose "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" to initiate "Command Prompt."

Step 2. Display the commands list below and hit "Enter" for each:

  • net user
  • net user username newpassword(replace username with the Windows 10 account's name and newpassword with your new password.)
