How Can I Get Rid of GPT Partition to Downgrade to Windows 7, Help Me

I want to downgrade my DELL Vostro 270 from Win 8 to Win 7. When I try to install Win 7 OEM disk to Disk 0 Partition 5, I get a message that Windows cannot be installed to this partition because it is a GPT partition. I've read a lot of posts and spent a lot of time on google and tried different launch settings, but somehow, I can't make it work. Could someone who has done this work please help?

Don't worry. This is a common error message. When you decide to choose MBR or GPT partition to install Windows, you must be clear about what motherboard firmware you are using and keep the two terms matching.

Hence, you are getting this error message because your PC boots in UEFI mode while your hard drive is not configured for UEFI mode.

In a similar situation, I used to convert GPT to MBR via EaseUS Partition Master. This is a reliable program based on my experience.

Now, I'll show you the detailed steps of how to use it:

Step 1. Install and launch EaseUS Partition Master on your computer. Then go to the Disk Converter section.

Step 2. Select the "Convert GPT to MBR" option and click "Next" to continue.

Step 3. Select the target GPT disk to be converted to MBR, and click "Convert" to start the conversion.

Hope it can help with your issue.
