Why is My Game Deleted But Still Taking up Space?

I plan to uninstall some of my games to free up my disk space. But the problem is that the storage space doesn't change much after I uninstall a game with large files. Why is my game deleted but still taking up space? Did I operate wrong? Please help me fix the issue and get rid of the game. Thanks!

Generally, there are two possible reasons why the uninstalled game still takes up disk space:

  • The game data and other relevant files are not removed during uninstallation, which is still on your disk and taking up disk space.
  • The game uninstallation has failed. This also occurs commonly because the game may still be running in the background or for other reasons.

No matter what is causing your game to still take up storage space, you need a way to completely remove it from your PC. A free and professional program uninstaller - EaseUS Todo PCTrans, can help you uninstall your games and remove leftover files automatically. With this powerful tool, you don't need to manually locate and delete the residual data.
