I Can't Uninstall a Game From My Laptop

I am unable to remove a game on my laptop. I went to the Control Panel, chose Programs, located the game I wished to remove from the list, executed a right-click, and chose Uninstall. But nothing occurs. How do I force uninstall the game on my computer?

Uninstalling games on a Windows computer can sometimes fail due to disabled Windows Installer service, corrupted game files, interference from third-party programs like anti-virus software, and uninstallation while running in the background. Take it easy. I will offer two solid ways to remove games without using Windows Settings:

Note: Stop the games from running in the background before beginning.

Way 1. Reliable Third-party Game Uninstaller

To uninstall the games completely without letting any residual files, EaseUS Todo PCTrans Free is your best choice. This tool can uninstall programs and remove all the leftover data automatically. Its free "Uninstall" feature is easy to use and effective. Follow the easy guide here:

Step 1. Install and open EaseUS Todo PCTrans on your computer, and select "App Management" > "Start" to check the installed App list.

Step 2. Choose the games and hit the "Uninstall" option to remove them.

Way 2. Manually Uninstall Games

If you have enough time and patience, you can try to locate and delete the game files one by one:

Step 1. Type run in the search box to launch the Run window. Input regedit and press "Enter."

Step 2. Navigate to the following file path to find and remove the game and its folder:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
