How to Fix Memory Card Deletes Files Automatically on Windows 11/10/8/7

I recently acquired a 400 GB Sandisk micro SD card and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 with S-pen. When I loaded videos onto the card, it occasionally deleted the individual videos but left the folders intact. The tablet's SD card was formatted, but the issue persisted. Does anyone have a solution for this?

If files disappear from the memory card automatically or the SD card unknowingly deletes data, the trouble can be mild to severe. It would be best if you showed patience to try each means from simple to complex and restore the SD card that cannot help delete files.

One of the apparent reasons is that your memory card file system has corrupted. In this case, when you insert the card into a computer, Windows prompts a message asking you to format it before you can use it. Do it as told.

Go through the whole process like this:

Confirm the format
Choose a file system (NTFS, FAT32, exFAT)
Tick Quick Format
Click Start

Sometimes, the formatting won't go smoothly, and you'll encounter an error 'Windows was unable to complete the format' on the SD card.
