My HP Pavillion's (Win8) screen had been shattered, and I could no longer use it. I purchased a USB hard drive dock and installed the HP Pavillion's hard disk. So now I'm attempting to view documents from that hard disk through a USB dock on my Toshiba Satellite (Win8). I opened the winUCRD.wmi file in 7zip, but I only found a few folders. I can't find any papers, settings, or anything else that might contain my photographs and documents. Do you have any suggestions?

When you have a Toshiba hard drive problem, one of the first things you should do is defragment it. The Defragment and Optimize Drives tool is included in Windows 7/8/10/11. To apply this, you can:
SSDs should not be used with typical defragmentation tools on previous versions of Windows. Because SSDs are flash-based, outdated defrag solutions may harm your data, if not the disk itself. Fortunately, Windows 7/8/10/11 does not suffer from this issue. The Defragment and Optimize Drives tool handle SSD and HDD optimization.
Use the Check Disk utility if the defrag succeeds but your HDD still does not improve. This is a tool from the early days of Windows. It can identify and occasionally correct hard disk drive faults. This frequently involves broken sectors, which can result in corrupted data.
Check Disk can be run in two ways:
Ensure you input the drive letter of the disk drive or partition causing you problems. Check Disk often requires you to reboot Windows, so ensure you have closed all your applications beforehand.
As long as your Toshiba hard drive is not physically damaged, you can perform Toshiba hard drive recovery software with EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover lost data. You can restore and save data to a safe place and read the inaccessible folder.
Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
