Scratch Disks Are Write Protected or Unavailable? Fixed

I'm using Premier Pro on a MAC. An error message 'Scratch disks are write-protected or unavailable. To open this project, the scratch disks will be set to your Documents folder. Would you like to continue?' suddenly popped out. I googled, but there were no solutions to tell me what to do.

Usually, when you update your Mac, the error code "Scratch disks are write protected or unavailable." may be present on your old projects. First, ensure it's not because your disk is not out of space. If not, you can try to enable "Full Disk Access" on your Mac. Full Disk Access is a macOS feature that gives some applications full permission to access the user's protected files.

Follow the specific steps to enable Full Disk Access:

Step 1. Open the "System Preferences" and click the "Security & Privacy" section.

Step 2. Hit the "privacy" tab, find the "Full Disk Access" option, then click the lock icon.

Step 3. Enter your password and click "Unlock."

Step 4. Tab "+" to select your Premiere, and click "Open."

If this solution does not work, I recommend you try to launch Premiere Pro in this way:

Step 1. Open the windows in the following order: Start > Settings > Update and Security > Virus & threat protection.

Step 2. Click on the "Ransomware protection" section, and choose "Allow an app through Controlled folders access."

Step 3. Click "Add an allowed app" to open the file browser, choose the file, and hit "Open."

If you have a device with a Windows system, you can also ask EaseUS Partition Master Free for help. It's professional software with powerful features and is easy for a computer novice. Download this tool and remove your write protection immediately.
