How to Uninstall Programs Not On the Add or Remove Programs

I want to uninstall an app that does not show in the 'Control Panel' or 'Apps and Features' within Windows 10. But I can't execute the operation. The Remove option was greyed out. What should I do to uninstall an app that doesn't appear in Control Panel or Apps & features?

Usually, we use the control panel to uninstall software. But if the program Is Not Listed in Add/Remove programs, how should we uninstall it?

The problem may occur if the name of the registry entry created by the program you installed is longer than 60 characters. Add/Remove Programs only lists the names of the programs it finds when it encounters this situation. If you want to uninstall a program that is not listed, you can choose another method, such as using EaseUS Todo PCTrans.

Support Windows 11/10/8/7

EaseUS Todo PCTrans Free provides App Management to help uninstall software and data easily. It recognizes any hidden files and makes the uninstallation process very smooth and straightforward:

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Todo PCTrans and jump to App Management.

Step 2. Click Start and then select the program you want to uninstall.

Step 3. Click on the Uninstall option after the program. (You also have the option to repair the program)

If you don't want to use a third-party tool, you can shorten the registry entry name and uninstall the program again. Or you can use the uninstall command shown in the registry:

  • Use the registry editor (Regedit.exe) to view the registry entries.
  • Double-click on the UninstallString registry value, copy the contents of the Value Data box by selecting the contents and pressing CTRL+C, then exit the Registry Editor.
  • Open the Run window, paste the uninstall command, and click OK.
