I have an SSD enclosure where I install the new 1TB SSD, connect it to the USB-C port, and copy everything from the old to the new. Is it possible? Would I still have to reimage the OS?

No, you can't move everything from one SSD to another by manually copying and pasting because not all data saved on your SSD can be seen and copied. There may be some hidden files or some special files without copy permission.

If you want to move everything from one disk to another without any loss, the best and most direct way is to clone SSD.

Cloning an SSD means creating an exact copy of the original disk, which will copy all data, including the operating system, boot sectors, system-related files, user profiles, images, videos, etc., on the new SSD. With the cloned SSD, you can boot your computer from it to enjoy the same OS as before as well as a faster boot speed.

How to clone one SSD to another? EaseUS Disk Copy is a popular and easy-to-use disk cloning software that most people choose to clone an HDD or SSD.

Supported by advanced technology, this EaseUS disk cloning tool ensures that you can clone HDD to SSD, clone a smaller SSD to a larger one, or migrate OS to another drive with simple clicks.

EaseUS Disk Copy lets you easily move everything from 64GB of SSD to the new 1TB SSD. Ensure you have installed or connected the new SSD to your computer properly.

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Disk Copy and select Disk Mode.

Step 2. Select 64GB SSD as the source disk and click Next.

Step 3. Choose the new 1TB SSD as the target disk, and click Proceed.

Step 4. Click Continue to confirm the warning message that the cloning will erase all data saved on the target SSD, and the cloning process will start now.

When the cloning process finishes, you can check and view everything on the new disk.
