Need Help: How Can I Extend My C Drive in a Disk Management Tool?

I want to extend my C drive using a disk management tool to fix the low space problem. But I'm not clear about the resize process. It would be friendly if someone could tell me how to do it in detail.

If your C drive (system partition) runs out of space and displays a low disk space warning message, what should you do to fix it? The answer is to extend your C drive with a disk management tool. There are multiple tools that can help you do that, such as Disk Management and EaseUS Partition Master. The latter has a more user-friendly interface and can solve all kinds of disk problems with simpler steps. I will introduce how to use them to extend the C drive.

Way 1. Extend C Drive via EaseUS Partition Master

Extending the C drive can be tortuous and challenging if you are a computer beginner unfamiliar with the Windows built-in tools. EaseUS Partition Master will come to your rescue: it has the "Adjust with 1-Click" tool that can resize your full C drive automatically. Furthermore, you can resize C drive according to your need with its "Resize/Move" feature in the future.

Install and launch EaseUS Partition Master and learn the detailed instructions:

Step 1. When your C drive gets full, you will see the low space alert in the software interface. Select "Adjust with 1-Click" to continue.

Step 2. Click "OK" to apply the operation. There is also a "Manual Adjustment" option to drag the end of the C drive rightward to add extra space.

Step 3. Hit the "Execute 1 Task" tab and select "Apply" to execute this process.

Way 2. Using Disk Management to Extend C Drive

Disk Management is another available option. However, this tool will work until you have unallocated space behind the partition you want to extend. Follow the simplified steps to use it:

Step 1. Right-click "This PC" and select "Manage" > "Storage" > "Disk Management."

Step 2. Right-click the system partition(C drive) and select "Extend Volume."

Step 3. Adjust the target partition size and click "Next" to continue. Click "Finish" to end the process.

Sometimes, users will encounter several problems during the extending process in Disk Management. Click the below link to get further information.
