My old SSD is running out of space, and I bought a new Samsung 1TB SSD a few days ago. I plan to clone all data from the old SSD to the new larger one. Do you know how I can do it successfully with Macrium Reflect? Thanks in advance.

Follow the steps to clone a smaller SSD to a Larger SSD using Macrium Reflect:

  • Connect the larger SSD to your computer or laptop and make it recognized.
  • Download and launch Macrium Reflect.
  • Select Create backups tab from the top-left corner, then select local disks tab.
  • Find and check the old SSD you want to clone, then check clone this disk…
  • Click Select a disk to clone to…, and choose the larger SSD as the destination disk.
  • Click and drag the partitions from the disk you want to clone.
  • Tap Next when all partitions have been dragged over to the destination drive.
  • Click Next to see a summary of what you're going to clone, then click Finish and OK.

Macrium Reflect is an excellent HDD/SSD cloning program that many users prefer, but it requires many steps to finish. Its complicated interface may not be friendly for beginners. That is why we recommend EaseUS Disk Copy as a better and easier disk cloning tool.

EaseUS Disk Copy is another popular, as well as easy-to-use, smaller SSD to larger SSD cloning tool. It only requires a few simple clicks to clone a hard drive and won't lose any data during the process. Here are its operations.

Step 1. Connect the larger SSD to your computer or laptop.

Step 2. Launch EaseUS Disk Copy and select Disk Mode.

Step 3. Select both the source disk and target disk, and click Next.

Step 4. Check the disk layout, and click Proceed to start SSD cloning.
