Is It Possible to Transfer the OEM Windows 10 Pro to Another Computer?

I want to transfer my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OEM to a new computer I just bought. But I am unsure if transferring the OEM Windows 10 Pro to another computer is possible. Can somebody help me with this?

It is possible to transfer the OEM Windows 10 Pro to another computer. Indeed, an OEM Windows license key is pre-installed on your computer by the manufacturer, which can't be transferred. However, all Windows systems, including OEM Windows 10 Pro, can be migrated to another computer. In your case, you need to prepare a new disk or take out the target computer's disk and transfer the OEM system to it. Then, connect this hard drive to the new computer for use.

If you don't want to lose data and waste time during the migration process, EaseUS Partition Master is your best choice. With the help of its professional clone tool, Migrate OS, you can directly move the Operating System drive to another HDD/SSD or hard drive.

Attention:

  • The target SSD can be smaller than the original one that contains the OEM Windows, but it must hold a larger space than the occupied space in the system C drive.
  • Back up the target SSD in advance because the migration process will delete all the data on it.

Then, refer to the simple steps below to migrate OEM Windows 10 Pro using EaseUS Partition Master:

Step 1. Install and run EaseUS Partition Master to open the "Disk Clone" tool from the left menu.

Step 2. Find the "Migrate OS" feature and select the source and target disk. Click "Next" to move on.

Step 3. Check the warning message by clicking "Yes," and preview the layout of your target disk or customize it as you want.

Step 4. After these, click "Start" to transfer the disk.

Before the process is complete, you also have to connect the target disk and make the new computer boot from it by changing the boot drive in BIOS drive:
