Create GPT Bootable Media, What Should I Do?

I have a Windows 10 Pro machine which is MBR. I want to create a GPT boot media. When I download and use Media Creation Tool, it creates an MBR disk for me. I tried converting my USB to GPT, but when I used Media Creation Tool, it changed it back to MBR. How do I get tools to create GPT disks?

So you mean you want to create a UEFI bootable media, don't you? There is one thing to address a GPT USB won't boot on an MBR system and vice-versa.

Below I'll share with you my usual method; if you plan to create UEFI bootable USB media for an upgrade or clean install of Windows 10, you can choose to use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.

What you should prepare: a USB drive with at least 8GB capacity. Then use the following steps:

Step 1. Download Windows 10 installation media from Microsoft's official website.

Step 2. Run the exe file of MediaCreationTool. Choose "Accept" to agree to the license terms.

Step 3. On the Windows 10 installation screen, choose "Create installation media (USB flash drive/DVD/ISO file) for another PC." Click the "Next" button.

Step 4. Click Next on the Language, Version, and Architecture screen. Select the "U Disk" option and tap "Next."

Step 5. Choose your connected USB flash drive from the list. Then click Next > Finish to complete the process. Wait while the Media Creation Tool downloads the files and creates a bootable USB flash drive that you can take to install Windows 10 on UEFI and BIOS-enabled devices.

By the way, you can use the bootable media to manage your disk well with the help of EaseUS Partition Master. Or, you can easily use this tool to convert MBR to GPT or GPT to MBR.
