So, I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7, and I decided to upgrade it to Windows 10, but I don't like it, so I want to downgrade it now, but I'm not sure how. Can someone assist me?

Officially, downgrade Windows 10 to Windows 7 is only available for a limited time. But if you have performed a clean installation of Windows 10 or if the rollback option is no longer available, you'll need to reinstall Windows 7 using your original installation media or recovery partition.

Important: To avoid unexpected or unwanted system failure or data loss problems caused by the Windows 10 downgrade issue, you must back up your current Windows system and vital data. EaseUS Todo Backup Free is a professional backup and recovery program that allows you to easily back up any file, partition, or even the entire system for free using a variety of advanced backup settings.

When the backup process finishes, you can start the Windows system downgrade now.

1. Roll back to Windows 7 within a month

  • Open the Start menu and go to Settings (the gear icon).
  • In the Settings window, select Update & Security.
  • From the left-hand menu, choose "Recovery."
  • Look for the option Go back to Windows 7 and click on the Get Started button underneath it.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the Windows 10 rollback process.
  • During the rollback process, you may be asked for feedback regarding your experience with Windows 10. You can choose to provide feedback or simply skip it.
  • The rollback process will take some time, and your computer will restart multiple times.
  • Once the rollback is complete, you should be back to Windows 7.

2. Roll back to Windows 7 by performing a clean install

  • Go to the Microsoft Windows page and download Windows 7 ISO file.
  • Perform a clean install on your PC by following the on-screen instruction.

It is very necessary to back up data before the system downgrade or upgrade. EaseUS Todo Backup is your helper to make the process easier. Download and give it a try; it won't let you down.
