My computer has always been inexplicably stuck recently, so I want to create a backup and restore points for my Windows 10 computer to prevent data loss due to this problem. How can I do that?

Windows provides its user with built-in tools to create backup and restore points. You can use Backup and Restore (Windows 7) to set up an automatic backup plan to create a system image or only file backup. To create a restore point, System Restore Point is available to restore your Windows operating system to its previous state if something goes wrong with your computer.

Use Backup and Restore(Windows 7) to create Windows 10 backup point:

  • Open your Windows 10 computer.
  • Settings > Update & Security >Backup >Backup and Restore(Windows 7).
  • Create a system image.
  • Select a destination disk where you want to save your backup.
  • Click"Change schedule" to customize your backup plan.

Use System Restore Point to create Windows 10 restore point:

  • Open System Restore Point feature.
  • Click Configure…in the System Protection tab.
  • Check Turn on system protection > OK.
  • Select the disk you need to restore and click Create.

Creating a backup and restore point for Windows 10 is important in taking care of your computer. It ensures that you can recover if something goes wrong or if you need to revert to a previous version of Windows 10.

As you can see above, creating a system backup and system restore point require the use of two built-in features of Windows. If you want to save yourself the trouble, EaseUS Todo Backup is your choice. It has both backup and recovery functions that allow you to achieve backup and restore with only a few clicks. With other multiple advanced features, it is a good helper to ensure the security of your Windows 10 system.
