My 300 GB of data was gone when my local PC or laptop was formatted. This is office information that is extremely important to me. And Bitlocker was used to encrypt my files. How do I get them back?

It is possible to recover formatted Bitlocker encrypted hard drives. We guess you know the Bitlocker password, and with this password, you can recover your office information from the encrypted hard drive with EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.

1. Once EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard has been downloaded, you may select the encrypted disk to scan. The encrypted disk will show up with a lock icon. Type in your Bitlocker password, and EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard can start to scan the encrypted disk.

2. Choosing and viewing scanned files. You can filter the files while scanning, and you can choose both quick and complete scans. The files are classified into pictures, Words, PPTs, Excels, videos, etc.

3. It is allowed to preview the files you selected. After ensuring the files are what you want, you can click "Recover" to get them back.

If you have a habit of backing up your hard drive on Windows, you can retrieve the data from recent backups. Open the start menu on your Windows, and click "Settings". Choose the option "Update & Security" under the settings menu, and click "Backup". View more options and scroll down to click "Restore files from a current backup".

If you are using Windows 7 on your laptop, you can restore files with the Backup and Restore option. Click "Restore my files" after opening the Backup and Restore menu, and remember to choose a destination to store your files and folders.
