How Do I Transfer A Program from A USB to My Computer

There's a program on my friend's PC that I want on my computer as well. He has already installed it on his USB drive, but I'm not sure how to transfer it to my PC. Can I just copy it, or should I do it another way? Appreciate any help.

You can't just copy a program from the USB drive to your computer. Usually, a program that is copied from another drive won't launch normally because of certain missing relevant data and registry. Thus, to make it launchable on your PC, you should use a program transfer tool like EaseUS Todo PCTrans Professional.

It allows you to transfer multiple programs from one drive to another. What's even more remarkable is that you can use it to transfer programs and files from one computer to another, which means you can skip the USB part.

Anyway, here are the steps for transferring a program from USB to PC:

Step 1. Open EaseUS Todo PCTrans, go to the App Migration tab, and hit "Start."

Step 2. Select the program from your USB drive and choose the destination drive.

Step 3. Click "Transfer" to start the process.
