Step 1. Choose Start Clonezilla.

Step 2. Choose the device-device option since you want to clone a whole disk to another whole disk.

Step 3. Choose the Beginner option and choose disk to local disk.

Step 4. Select your source disk (here it is your internal disk), this is the disk that will be cloned.

Step 5. Select your target disk (here, it is your external USB disk). Be careful. That disk will be overwritten.

Step 6. Choose the -sfsck option unless your source file system needs to be repaired.

Step 7. Choose the mode you want after the disk cloning is done.

Step 8. Press Enter to continue and answer yes (y) to confirm the information you previously submitted.
