It is not like cloud data can suddenly disappear. Right? I want to know do I need a backup if I have used the cloud? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Generally speaking, your cloud data will not disappear. But cloud service provider shuts down or goes bankrupt, then yes, your cloud data will disappear once they turn off the servers.

In my opinion, if you don't have a backup, you won't be able to restore anything if you accidentally overwrite something or lose access to your cloud storage account. Therefore, according to the 3-2-1 backup strategy, you still need a backup even if you use the cloud.

Undoubtedly, cloud storage has many advantages:

Cloud backup is easy.
Cloud storage is cost-effective.
When you store your data in the cloud, it is quick and easy to recover.

But you still need a backup. It asks for an internet to access the cloud data. Just imagine there is an urgent need for cloud backup data, but the internet is unavailable.
