Actually, there are many ways to format a disk or drive in Windows 10, such as Disk Management, File Explorer, Command Prompt, or PowerShell. However, these ways might be difficult if you don't have much computing knowledge. Hence, we recommend a reliable third-party software, EaseUS Partition Master.

It allows you to format a drive or disk with simple clicks and is easier for a beginner. It supports many file system types like NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, ext2/3/4, etc. With this tool, you can format your disk and set the best allocation unit size.

Step 1. Download and launch EaseUS Partition Master.

Step 2. Right-click on the target disk or drive and right-click on it. Choose "Format," then set the partition label, File system types, and Cluster size for your drive.

Step 3. Click "Execute the task" and wait for the process to finish.

You can also use Disk Management to format a disk/drive. Here are the steps for you:

Step 1. Choose and launch Disk Management by right-clicking the Windows icon.

Step 2. Locate your disk or drive and right-click on it.

Step 3. Choose "Format" and follow the format wizard to determine the "Volume label," "File systems," and the "Allocation unit size." Don't forget to click "Perform a quick format."
