Rotate a Video on Mac

What if you are using a Mac device? What can you do to rotate a video easily and quickly? My advice is using QuickTime. It is easy and does not require additional software or extensive knowledge with QuickTime. This works to rotate or flip any video or movie file on a Mac device. Follow the steps below to rotate a Mac video.

Step 1. Open the video file that you want to rotate into QuickTime Player.

Step 2. Then click "Edit" on the top where you can choose "Rotate Left", "Rotate Right", "Flip Horizontal" and "Flip Vertical". Just select one that you like.

Step 3. Save the newly edited rotated video as usual by hitting Command + S or by going to File and "Save".

The newly rotated video will be saved as a new video file and will not override the existing movie unless you give it the same name.

Rotate or Flip a Video on iPhone

Here I'd like to show you a useful tool - iMovie. It is a professional video editing maker software developed by Appl Inc. With this software, you can easily rotate your iPhone videos. Download the latest version and rotate your iPhone movies:

Step 1. Open iMovie. Tap "Create Project", then select "Movie".

Step 2. On the Camera Roll, tap the video you want to edit to add a blue checkmark.

Step 3. Tap "Create Movie" > "Edit".

Place two fingers on the clip and make a rotating motion. An icon appears, and the clip moves when you lift your fingers. Rotate 90 degrees at a time, either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Step 4. Tap "Done" to save the changes.

Rotate a Video on Android

The easiest way to rotate Android video is to open and rotate it with system default player. Here are the details:

Step 1. Find the video you’d like to rotate. Tap to open it.

Step 2. The video will likely autoplay when you open it, so feel free to pause it. Tap the screen and tap the little pencil icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3. This will open the Photos’ edit menu. At the bottom of the screen, there’s a button that reads "Rotate". Tap it. Once it looks good, tap the “Save” button in the top right corner.
