"I hit the wrong button and deleted all the shows on My Dish DVR hard drive. Please tell me that the deleted items are recoverable, right? And how can I restore the lost recordings?"

My Dish DVR has a feature of saving deleted recordings for 48 hours. It means that you can restore the deleted recordings from DVR hard drive. Beyond 48 hours, Dish will empty the "Trash".
In this regard, start your DVR data recovery as soon as possible once you lost the recordings:
Method 1. Recover deleted Dish DVR recordings from Trash
- Step 1: Press the DVR button on the old box or on the remote control.
- Step 2: Select "Trash", locate the recordings that you want to restore.
- Step 3: Press the Recall button.
There, your deleted recordings will be back and you can continue watching them in "Recordings".
Method 2. Restore deleted Dish DVR recordings/TV shows from "My Recordings"
- Step 1: Grab your Disk remote and press the DVR button in the middle.
- Step 2: Find and press the red button, let it be My Events or My Recordings.
- Step 3: Head to Deleted Recordings and press the button.
- Arrow to and highlight the shows and recordings you had removed and push the enter button.
- Step 4: Select the Restore button. Your deleted event will be restored to active recording by this behavior.
Tip: One secure way to avoid having your events deleted is to protect them. The "Protect" option is a few buttons below the "Restore" button.
Case 2. Recover deleted recordings on Dish DVR external hard drive
