Surface Test

Updated on Nov 02, 2018 by Daisy to Resource

Summary

The surface test is used for checking bad sectors on one partition or hard drive. This function is used for checking bad sectors on one partition.

This function is used for checking bad sectors on one partition. It checks partitions, not by "clusters" and doesn't label out the bad sectors on one partition. EaseUS Partition Master will check every sector and display when it found a bad sector. While complete, a bad sectors list file surface.txt will be created. When the Surface Test checks out up to 10000 corrupted sectors, it will stop testing in order to prevent the disk from being destroyed.

Note: If Partition Table Doctor tests the partition very slowly or finds many errors, we suggest you cancel the test and send your hard disk drive to local data recovery manufacturer.

If you want to recover files due to deletion, format, partition lost or damage, system crash, etc. especially under Windows Vista/2008/Windows 7, our free data recovery software - Data Recovery Wizard Free Edition is recommended. It works well with hardware RAID and hard drives, SD and Memory Cards, etc.
