How to Unformat Windows Storage Pool

My Windows 10 Storage Pool was accidentally formatted. How do I restore the data or unformat the pool? I tried a lot of applications, but none of it could view the data in the pool, and it could only see it on individual disks, which is worthless.

It is sad to tell you that your operation of formatting the Windows Storage Pool cannot undo, which means you cannot unformat your Windows Storage Pool. Windows Storage Space functions similarly to a software-configured RAID technology. However, it is significantly simpler to set up than RAID. All you have to do to create storage spaces is combine two or more physical disks into a storage pool. You can try the following methods and get back your data:

1. It is difficult to get back your data all by yourself. Get an external hard drive with the same storage pool capacity, create an image copy of the drives in the storage pool, and then try several recovery programs to restore your formatted data. You can try EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. This tool will help you recover files after formatting, and with the filter option, you can find the lost files quickly.

  • Run this software and scan the disks one by one. All the disks will show up, and you can select the possible disk which may contain your lost data.
  • To find your data as quickly as possible, you should filter the files or search the files and folders with specific names.
  • To make sure the files you choose are the files you really want, you can preview them. And you can confirm to recover the files by clicking the Recover button.

2. It is possible that the software cannot fix your problem, then you should seek professional help from a local repair store or the experts. This will cost a lot of money, and if the data is not that important to you, you can choose to give up the restore and use your Windows Storage Pool more carefully.

Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
