My decision to opt-out after using the Android 12 beta was a mistake, as I now have no more images. Is there a way to get them back?

Your images should have already been posted to Google Photos, but if you disabled that on purpose, I assume you should have been aware that they may disappear at any time. Some file recovery applications may be able to retrieve data from your phone. A deleted photo truly remains in your phone's storage space until another image replaces it. Simply said, deleting a photo causes the gadget to "forget" where the file is. Your phone is more likely to be overwritten as you use it more frequently. So, your chances of recovering the photos increase the faster you run the file recovery software. First, you can check Google Photo to see if your photos are backed up automatically:
1. Open the Google Photos app on your Android phone or tablet.
2. Tap Library, then Trash Delete, from the bottom.
3. The photo you wish to restore should be touched and held.
4. Tap "Restore" on the bottom. The image or video will return soon.
If you cannot find your lost photos from Google Photo, you can connect your SD card to a PC and use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover the lost photos. This software can help you recover deleted photos from SD cards.
1. Click "Scan" after choosing the Android SD card where your lost or deleted photos are located.
2. After scanning is finished, choose "Pictures" from the left panel. Click "Lost" on the top list to find the misplaced photographs. Then, you may search for images based on the dates, categories, and devices.
3. After the preview, select a different place to store the required photos by clicking "Recover."
Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
