I accidentally deleted my game save that had literal years of progress. After realizing my mistake, I tried to disconnect from the internet and task-quit the game to prevent it from updating the Steam Cloud, but it was gone. Is there no chance of recovering the game save? And if not, why can't the game send deleted saves to the recycle bin or a local 'deleted' folder?
