Over the past two days, I've been seeking a solution to recover data from a formatted DVD-RW, but I haven't found anything that works. Is there anything else you can do? Should I purchase expensive software or submit it to a company for data recovery?

On DVD-RW, a format rewrites the DVD structures, in contrast to DVD+RW, where a quick format does not "hide" the remaining tracks and content.
