Difference Between Delete and Shift Delete

I recently got my first Windows laptop, and I use the Delete key to delete files. Someone told me it is also available to use Shift + Delete to remove files. Is it true? What is the difference?

Usually, Windows users will right-click the unwanted files and folders and select Delete to remove the files. These files and folders will not disappear forever, and they are just moved to the Recycle Bin. When you are using the Delete key to delete files, the files will go to the Recycle Bin, too.

Do you know how to recover deleted files from Recycle Bin? It is pretty easy, even for new Windows users:

1. Double-clicking the Recycle Bin's desktop icon will allow you to access it.

2. Choose the deleted files or folders you want to recover from Recycle Bin by finding and selecting them.

3. To restore the files and folders, select them using the right mouse button and choose Restore.

When data is deleted with the Shift + Delete keys, it is permanently lost and cannot be recovered easily. This command deletes data, and the Recycle Bin will not contain the removed data. When users decide on the files or folders, they don't want anymore, they can use Shift + Delete to remove the files from the computer or laptop. If the PC lacks storage space, users will free up space by using Shift + Delete keys.

If you use the Shift Delete command to delete some files by mistake, you can recover them with EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. With this functional data recovery software, you can recover shift deleted files on Windows 11 easily. This program even can retrieve files and folders after emptying the Recycle Bin.

For a new laptop user, you should back up your data regularly or download a data recovery program to avoid data loss.

Use EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to recover deleted or lost files easily and quickly.
