A new SSD can add large storage space to your computer, boosting performance and speed while using the PC. Thus, this article will teach you an easy way to set up and partition a new SSD.

Before partitioning, you must ensure that the new SSD is initialized and shown as unallocated space. If it's not initialized yet, you need to initialize it first in Disk Management as follows:

  • Right-click"This PC" on the interface, click "Manage," and open "Disk Management."
  • Right-click the SSD that is not initialized and choose "Initialize SSD."
  • Set the partition style as "MBR" or "GPT," and click "OK" to ensure.

Regarding disk partitioning, I recommend you use a reliable, user-friendly, and effective tool for computer beginners. EaseUS Partition Master is a handy software that can meet all your requirements by providing a New Disk Guide feature for new hard drive partitioning. Then, download it and follow the step-by-step guide to partition your new SSD:
