Can I Copy Windows From One Hard Drive to Another?

I recently updated all my Windows 10 apps, so I no longer have space on my hard drive. I then moved numerous apps and deleted all unnecessary files, but I still had only about 5GB of space left. I then searched for ways to clean up Windows and came across a topic about moving the Windows operating system from one drive to another hard drive.

When you upgrade your applications or install new programs, you will find that the available space becomes low. The disk cleanup may also not work as junk files are not large compared to the upgrade. Don't worry. The simplest and most effective way is to migrate the Windows server OS to a new drive

A safe and handful tool can support you to migrate OS from one hard drive to another without reinstalling. Based on my experience, EaseUS Partition Master is trustworthy and friendly to users when copying Windows OS to another drive. Furthermore, this 3rd party software is highly compatible with all Windows systems, including Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7.

Step 2. Select the target hard drive in the menu, and click "Next."

Step 3. Press "Yes" to ensure the execution.

Step 4. Click "Start" to apply migrating OS on the new drive.

Stage 2. Set the New Drive as the Boot Device

The second move is to set the Windows 10 boot from the new hard drive. Refer to the detailed steps below:

Step 1. Shut down and restart the target computer and hit the F2/F8/F11 or Del key to open the BIOS settings.

Step 2. Navigate to the Boot menu and set the new drive with migrated Windows 10 as the boot drive under the Boot Priority section.
