How to Replace C Drive with a New SSD

Got an SSD for Christmas. I want to install it but I was curious about what I need to do since I'm fully replacing the older SSD that came with my PC. I understand how to install it but do I need to backup my entire drive or do I transfer it? Please give me an understandable response here so thank you very much.

HDD and SSD can both be used as storage devices on computers, but SSD performs better than HDD in many aspects, such as faster data access speed, lower power consumption, etc. So, it's wise to replace the C drive with a new SSD.

The best way to do so is to clone the C drive to SSD directly. This way is direct and time-saving. And EaseUS Disk Copy will help you do that without losing any data. Download it right now!

What EaseUS Disk Copy can do for you:

  • Quickly migrate Windows PC from one PC to another
  • Create a local backup of hard drives effectively
  • Clone data at a fast speed
  • Clone the operating system or only used sectors
  • Create a disk image of the bad hard drive

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Disk Copy and select the HDD that you want to clone in Disk Mode.

Step 2. Select the SSD as your destination. Click OK to continue when you see a warning message that tells you that the data on the SSD will be erased.

Step 3. Edit the disk layout and then click Proceed to continue. You also need to tick Check the option if the target is SSD.

Step 4. Wait for the process to complete.
