Hi, I'm working to upgrade the primary SSD for my HP desktop. I have a decent amount software (Windows, Office, Photoshop...) Can I do a system restore without having to reinstall software or lose my licenses? Or can I clone C drive to a new SSD?

Yes, you can clone C drive with programs to a new SSD!
To make sure your data is safe, you will need a program that can be logged in on different devices. In this case, you can access your data on a new device if your old computer breaks down.
EaseUS Disk Copy is such a program you can use. With this software, you can effortlessly clone your hard disk, be it the system disk or data disk, to an SSD. You can download it from the button below.
After installing it, you can launch it and follow the steps to start cloning:
Step 1. Choose the C disk as the source disk under "Disk Mode" and click "Next".
Step 2. Choose the other disk as the destination disk. A message warning you that data will be lost will appear. Click "OK" and then "Next" to confirm.
Step 3. Manage the disk layout of the destination disk by selecting "Autofit the disk", "Copy as the source" or "Edit disk layout".
Step 4. Click "Proceed" to officially execute the task.
