How to Move OS to SSD Without Cloning

I have a 1TB HDD and just got a Samsung 250GB SSD. I want to do a fresh install of Windows, but I don't want to clone the OS over. Is it possible to move OS to SSD without cloning? I'd really spell this out for me step by step, so I don't turn my PC into a toaster. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

You can check out the following step-by-step tutorial to move OS to SSD without cloning:

  • Download "Create Windows 11 installation Media " from Microsoft's official website.
  • Check the USB flash, and click on it from the list. Then the Windows installation files will start downloading.
  • Click "Finish" when the USB is ready, and restart your system and click Install Now.
  • Choose the location where you want to install the operating system, then click the Custom option to perform a clean installation of Windows.
  • Next, select the partition where you want to download your OS and click unallocated to start the task.
  • To complete the installation process and select the set up new device.

As you can see, it is not easy for everyone to finish the task. And most people give up when creating a bootable disk. Moreover, the clean install process can be confusing, as there is a lot of jargon you have never heard of.
