Can I Use OneDrive for Storage and Not Syncing?

I signed up for Microsoft Office 365 and tried OneDrive Desktop to sync my Documents. But I can't index my file after syncing, which is inconvenient. I am wondering if I can use OneDrive as a storage location to save my file without syncing. Do you have any idea? Any advice would be appreciated.
