Posted on Jan 16, 2018 by Brithny to Partition Master

You can feel free to format a raw drive to NTFS without losing data by using EaseUS Partition Manager. First perform raw drive/partition data recovery, and second, do a raw drive format to NTFS file system and make it usable again.

Do you know how to format RAW drive/partition NTFS without losing data on it? I have an external HDD of 1.5TB capacity, and due to some unknown reasons, it's rejectable to read files from it. Now it becomes RAW and delivers an error message saying "the Volume is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" Should I do it or not? If I format the drive, I must lose all the data on it. I feel horrible about the breakdown. So please give me some instructions.

Sometimes a damaged volume may look like it lost its file system (NTFS, FAT, exFAT, HFS, HFS+ ...) and turned to the RAW file system. Then various errors appear, warning you to format the RAW drive. But doing a format is risky, we know that data will be erased by hard drive format. Were you ever stuck in such a tough situation? Please don't worry, you can feel free to format a raw drive to NTFS file system without risking any data on it by using EaseUS free partition manager.
